Auto Technician

Location: St. Charles, MO

Craven Performance & Off-road is centrally located in the United States, in St. Charles, MO just outside of St. Louis, MO.  We specialize in “all things” auto performance including, but not limited to: Dyno Testing, Diesel Performance, Lift Kits, Nitrous, Superchargers, Turbo Systems, Wheel, Tires and more.

We have been building the fastest street cars in the region for years. Our goal is to make every customer’s dreams come true by fulfilling their requests with exactly what he or she is asking for when their vehicle is brought to our facility. Craven Performance prides itself on being upfront and personable when discussing the outcome of the performance enhancements that clients are looking for.

The ultimate goal at Craven Performance & Off-Road is to build the World’s fastest “pump gas” street cars and the most noticeable lifted trucks and jeeps in the nation. We strive to be the best in every aspect of the vehicle building process, from having the most state-of-the-art facility, using the best performance and lift products in the market, to housing the best mechanics and tuners. Responsibilities: Includes, but not limited to: 

  • We are searching for experienced/trained technician who has a thorough understanding of IFS suspensions and alignments

  • Able to disassemble suspension systems, remove and install ball joints, brakes and hub bearings.

  • Able to utilize a strut compressor

  • Thorough understanding of a leaf spring, capable of disassembling and assembling a leaf spring pack.

  • Understanding of torsion bar suspensions, how to remove and install a torsion bar.

  • Tire mounting and balancing techniques.

  • Fluent with a torque wrench.

  • Capable of removing driveshaft’s and differentials.


Qualifications: Someone who takes pride in doing quality work, an effective problem solver, great at being a team player and working with others, there is no room for egos. Additionally, we are looking for someone that can take direction from the owner & master mechanic as well as being effective at working on their own. 

  • Hands on automotive experience required

  • ASE certification a plus, but not necessary.

  • Mig welding experience ideal but not required.

  • Has an intimate understanding of push rod and OHC engines, capable of removing and installing cylinder heads, Cam Shafts, & manifolds on modern Ford SOHC and DOHC engines, as well as modern GM Pushrod engines.

  • Fluent with a torque wrench and torque to yield specifications.

  • Understanding modern fuel injection systems, capable of diagnosing Ford, GM and Chrysler late model engines.

  • Capable of removing and installing engines and transmissions.

  • Knowledge of modern fuel systems and capable of removing and installing individual components.

  • Understanding of modern IRS suspension systems and capable of disassembling and assembling rear suspension and differential components.


Job requires the following: 

  • Strong ability to provide attention to detail.

  • Carrying or lifting items weighing up to 50 pounds or more.

  • Follow standard safety procedures

  • Standing, bending, stooping, and kneeling.

  • Must be able to move about the entire facility safely and efficiently.

  • Pass a background check

  • Pass a drug screen

  • Have own tools

  • Valid driver’s license

  • 18 years of age or older
